During the first week of the autumn holidays, colleagues from our school visited the first and so far, only Montessori school on Mallorca. We will build up a long-term partnership with this institution, with exchanges of pupils and learning guides. The appropriate framework for this is provided by the European Erasmus+ programme. We presented this to the Montessori team of the Mallorcan institution, especially the way to accreditation. The school management showed interest in the design and implementation of the Erdkinderplan at our school. We spent a day in the children’s house, the primary school and the secondary school and took away many educational suggestions for the implementation of Montessori education. In a presentation, the hosts showed us their participation in the Montessori Model United Nations in New York and Rome. The implementation of the idea of a „children’s city“ as a summer school was discussed. We would like to thank the colleagues of the Montessori School in Santa Maria from the bottom of our hearts for the stimulating exchange, the beginning cooperation, and the hospitality in general.
In der ersten Herbstferienwoche haben Kolleginnen und Kollegen unseres Hauses die erste und bisher einzige Montessori-Schule auf Mallorca besucht. Mit dieser Einrichtung werden wir eine langfristige Partnerschaft aufbauen, mit Austauschen von Schülerinnen und Schülern sowie Lernbegleiterinnen und -begleitern. Den passenden Rahmen hierfür liefert das europäische Erasmus+ – Programm. Dieses haben wir dem Montessori Team der mallorquinischen Einrichtung vorgestellt, insbesondere den Weg hin zur Akkreditierung. Die Schulleitung zeigte sich interessiert an der Ausgestaltung und Umsetzung des Erdkinderplanes an unserer Schule. Wir hospitierten einen Tag im Kinderhaus, der Grundschule und der Sekundarstufe und nahmen viele pädagogische Anregungen der Umsetzung der Montessori Pädagogik mit. In einer Präsentation zeigten uns die Gastgeber ihre Teilnahme am Montessori Model United Nations in New York und Rom. Die Umsetzung der Idee einer „Kinderstadt“ als „Summer school“ wurde besprochen. Für den anregenden Austausch, die beginnende Zusammenarbeit und die Gastfreundschaft insgesamt bedanken wir uns vom Herzen bei den Kolleginnen und Kollegen der Montessori-Schule in Santa Maria.
